Parents
Give your kids real-world learning experiences — nature walks, science labs, cooking classes, trades workshops — led by verified educators at vetted venues and free public spaces. You pick what they learn.
What Covey gives you
Browse by interest
Filter activities by category (nature, science, trades, art, music, cooking, and more), age range, location, and price. Find exactly what your kid will love.
Every educator is verified
ID-checked, background-screened, and credential-verified. Educators on Covey have passed Ontario Vulnerable Sector Checks. No exceptions.
Child profiles
Create profiles for each of your kids with age, grade, allergies, medical notes, and emergency contacts. Educators see this info for every booked child.
Approved pickup contacts
Set an approved pickup and dropoff list for each child. Add names, phone numbers, and relationships so everyone knows who you've authorized.
Only charged if the trip happens
Reserve a spot with your card and we’ll only charge you once the trip hits its minimum signups. If it doesn’t fill, your card never gets touched.
Rate and review
After each activity, leave a star rating and written review. Help other parents find great educators, and help educators improve.
How booking works
Find an activity
Browse the home feed or search by category, age, and location. Tap any activity to see the full curriculum, schedule, pricing, educator profile, and venue details.
Select your kids
Choose which of your children will attend. The educator will receive their names, ages, allergies, medical notes, and your emergency contact info.
Reserve your spot
See the full breakdown — price per child, total, and activity details. Save your card to hold the spot. We only charge you once enough kids sign up to confirm the trip.
Wait for confirmation
The educator sets a minimum number of kids needed for the trip to run. Once that minimum is reached, your card is charged and the trip is locked in. If it never confirms, you’re not charged.
Drop off and pick up
On the day, drop your child off at the venue. You've already set the approved pickup list for your child, and the educator has your emergency info just in case.
Review the experience
After the activity, rate it and leave a review. Your feedback helps other parents and helps the educator grow.
Safety and trust
We built Covey around safety first. Here's how we protect your kids:
Background checks
Every educator completes identity verification and an Ontario Vulnerable Sector Check. Their credentials and references are reviewed by our team.
Emergency preparedness
Educators have access to your emergency contact info and each child's allergies and medical notes. First Aid/CPR certification is required of all educators.
Pickup controls
You set an approved pickup list for each child — name, phone, relationship — so everyone knows who you've authorized to drop off and pick up.
Status updates
Email and push alerts at every step — booking confirmed, trip confirmed and your card charged, payment issues, cancellations and refunds — so you always know where you stand.
What it costs
You pay one price per child. Each listing shows the exact number before you commit. Typical activities run $30–$150 per child, depending on the activity, materials, and venue.
How that price is built
The educator sets one fee for running the trip. The venue charges a day rate. Together they're divided by the maximum class size to get the price per kid — and that number is locked when the trip is published. It doesn't change later.
If the class doesn't fill, the educator and venue absorb the difference — they each earn a share of their stated fees proportional to how full the class gets. Your price stays the same regardless.
The 10% platform fee is already included in the per-child price. Nothing gets added at checkout.
No charge until the trip's confirmed. Your card is saved when you reserve, but Covey only charges it once the educator's minimum number of kids have signed up. If the trip doesn't reach minimum, it's automatically cancelled and you're not charged a cent.
Full refund if the trip is cancelled — by the educator, by the venue, or by Covey. Refunds typically land in 5–10 business days.
Need to cancel your own booking? Open the trip in the app and tap Cancel. If you cancel 48 hours or more before the trip starts, you get a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the trip, no refund — the educator and venue have already committed time and resources by then. The confirmation dialog shows the exact refund amount before you commit.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
